A-195 Reliability of Scores Obtained on the WAIS-IV and WISC-V in a Largely Pacific Islander Sample

Abstract Objective With the emergence of Covid-19, field assessment had to adapt immediately telehealth administration without typical rigorous standardization procedures neuropsychologists are accustomed to. This study will provide some support for reliability scores obtained on Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV) and Children (WISC-V) utilizing in a largely Pacific Islander sample. Method Participants were all individuals who completed psychological evaluation with principal author either community health care clinic or nearby independent practice. Testing have taken place minimum one year prior participant’s be within age range repeat same test that was previously administered. Thus far, there 16 total participants. Results Paired samples t-tests indicated no significant differences between Verbal Comprehension Index (VCI), Fluid Reasoning (FRI), Working Memory (WMI) WISC-V those administered person through VCI (t(4) = 2.08, p 0.106) FRI −0.86, 0.439); WMI (t(3) −0.104, 0.924). Findings similar WAIS-IV non-significant (t(5) −0.1.3, 0.903) 0.903). Conclusion Although is not gold-standard assessment, can reliable important information diagnostic clarity. As such, remains valuable tool psychologists generate diagnoses recommendations treatment.
